Improving the procurement process and management

A Quick Scan in the purchasing process is performed for a manufacturer and supplier of maintenance and repair services in the defense and aerospace industry. The improvement and savings potential are mapped and advice was given on how to realize this potential. Recommendations concerned the field of management information, segmenting suppliers to provide a more effective and efficient strategy for each group and reducing the number of suppliers to achieve higher volume discount and lower transaction costs. The recommendations are converted into an action plan for the customer to achieve the improvements.
